About my music
I came to music a bit later in life, picking up guitar for the first time at age 35. After taking my first lesson, I quickly concluded that playing “Hot Cross Buns” from the beginner guitar book was simply not inspiring. Instead, I decided to learn the chords by creating my own songs. At first, I wrote lullabies for my children, then a love song for my husband, then a song about my biological father. Once I opened the door to the songwriting muse, it would not close. Everything in my life begged to be expressed as a song—heartache, marriage, raising kids... Now, 15 years later, I have 50+ songs written and my first recorded album!
