Two days: Saturday 10-4 pm AND Sunday 9-1 pm
Join us for a weekend experience to connect with the magnificent horses and beautiful landscape at Flag Ranch, a sanctuary for rescued horses. Ultimately, you’ll give yourself the gift of igniting your spirit through this horse immersion and creative writing experience. Here’s some of what you’ll receive:
- a beautiful blend of horse time, writing time, meditation time, YOU time
- backdoor tools and writing prompts to access your own creativity
- an invitation to tune into the present moment to better hear your own voice
- an experience of time slowing down, allowing inspiration to flow in
- insights and wisdom simply from BEing with the horses
- a deeper understanding of how horses communicate in a herd and how they respond to our body language
- a chance to connect with the other sweet characters at Flag Ranch, including a 600 pound pig and a goat that thinks he’s a horse
- connection with like-minded creative seekers in an intimate setting
- a feeling of being nurtured and safely held as you slip into the herd and your imagination
No horse or writing experience required.
Space is limited to 10 people.
Note: Flag Ranch is about 2 to 2.5 hours from San Francisco with no traffic. We recommend spending the night in the sweet town of Murphys on either Friday and/or Saturday. Murphys is a gold rush town, with lots of wineries and abundant history. Check out Murphys Historic Hotel built in 1864. We will also provide a list of local hotels.
Here’s what others have said about their experience:
“The Writing with Horses workshop I did with Allison Fragakis was soul food, and is still nourishing me. The combination of Allison’s inspiring design for the day coupled with the coherent, loving energy of the horses carried me on a joyful journey into the heart of my own creative expression. I felt peaceful, inspired and deeply cared for as new, creative sparks flew in formation.” Linda Galasso
“Last May Allison escorted a fortunate few of us to spend the day with the horses. I wrote “remember the soft breezes, the pigeons cooing and the lovely giant ancient beasts who urge me to nuzzle and sniff and scratch them…so peaceful and happy, them and me.” I’m always so grateful when I say ‘yes’ to the opportunities you, Allison, offer so I can find find the playful, spirit who resides in me.” –Lindy Woodard
“WOW!!! Wonderful, Outstanding & Worthwhile sums up the unique experience of Writing with Horses. I recommend this workshop to anybody who is convinced its “not” for them. Allison has an incredible talent for exposing your creative gene (the one you are sure does not exist) and guiding you through an inspiring and enlightening day of writing prompts. I promise you will be astonished at what you can achieve when she helps you to shed all those barriers and inhibitions you’ve erected and has you roll up your sleeves to write from the heart! The horses have an incredible message to share.” -Sarah Margulies
I am still glowing –the day was truly, truly special. I had wonderful dreams. Sign me up for next year!….Donna D.
